Amouage, the renowned Omani High Perfumery House, has officially introduced Love Hibiscus to the Nigerian market, unveiling the fragrance at an exclusive Secret Garden-themed launch in Lagos.
Held on May 20, 2026, the immersive event brought together fragrance enthusiasts, tastemakers, and luxury lifestyle insiders for a first look at the newest addition to Amouage’s reimagined Secret Garden collection. Designed as a celebration of contemporary femininity, Love Hibiscus combines vibrant floral notes with rich gourmand accords to create a scent that is both playful and sophisticated.

Created by perfumer Jérome Epinette in collaboration with Amouage Chief Creative Officer Renaud Salmon, Love Hibiscus takes inspiration from one of Oman’s most recognisable flowers. The fragrance pairs the tart, berry-like character of hibiscus with the indulgent sweetness of salted caramel, resulting in a composition that balances freshness, warmth, and sensuality.
“The idea was to create a fragrance that embraced all the facets of hibiscus, including the more unexpected ones,” said Salmon. “At the same time, the gourmand element needed to be equally distinctive, creating a striking contrast between the floral and edible aspects of the scent.”
The fragrance opens with notes of salted caramel, passion fruit, and bergamot before revealing a heart of hibiscus, orris, and frankincense. A rich base of sandalwood, cypriol, and vanilla provides depth and lasting warmth.
According to Tolu Uwhubetine, Brand Manager, Sub-Saharan Africa, Love Hibiscus reflects the growing demand among luxury fragrance consumers for scents that feel both distinctive and deeply personal.

“In markets like Nigeria, fragrance is an important form of self-expression. Love Hibiscus offers a unique balance of character, elegance, and emotion that resonates strongly with today’s luxury consumer,” she said.
Love Hibiscus joins the House’s Secret Garden collection, which also includes Lilac Love, Blossom Love, Love Tuberose, and Love Delight—each offering a unique interpretation of modern femininity through the interplay of floral and gourmand notes.

Presented in Amouage’s signature Secret Garden bottle with its soft, tactile ceramic finish, Love Hibiscus is now available exclusively at RJ4, Adeola Odeku, Victoria Island, Lagos.
