It was all love, laughter and celebratory toasts as close friends of Nigerian artist Tiwa Savage treated her to a surprise lunch party to celebrate the successful release of her latest album ‘CELIA’.
Named after her mother as a tribute, “Celia,” is a 13-track album which includes plenty of non-album singles and collaborations with top Afrobeats performers like Wizkid, Davido and Patoranking.
Coming as her fourth full-length album, it is the global levelling up of a 24-year long award-winning career that has seen Tiwa feature some of the world’s best musical acts including a feature on Beyoncé’s “The Lion King: The Gift”.
Celia” is an album of sleekly insinuating Afrobeats grooves that carries love songs and understated but purposeful messages of empowerment. Like most indigenous artistes, the lyrics style switches between English and her native dialect Yoruba.
