For two days, Eko Hotel & Suites served as the meeting point for investors, policymakers and business leaders as Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu hosted the third edition of Invest In Lagos in partnership with the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC).
Held under the theme “Lagos: The Business Gateway to Africa,” the summit attracted more than 600 delegates, including governors, international partners, development finance institutions and private sector players, all gathered to explore investment opportunities within Africa’s largest city economy.
At the centre of the conversations was Lagos’ growth story and its future potential. In his presentation, Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted opportunities across transportation, technology, water infrastructure and agriculture, while making a strong case for increased private-sector participation in sectors critical to the state’s development.

The governor pointed to ongoing investments in rail and water transportation, expanding digital infrastructure and fibre connectivity, as well as emerging opportunities in technology and data services. Agriculture and agro-processing also featured prominently, with Lagos’ population of more than 24 million people offering a significant consumer market for investors.

Beyond boardroom discussions and investment pitches, the summit showcased the cultural energy that helps define Lagos. Delegates enjoyed performances by Terra Kulture, while the closing ceremony featured a fashion presentation curated by Omoyemi Akerele of Lagos Fashion Week.
By the end of the two-day gathering, Invest In Lagos 3.0 had reinforced the state’s message to the global investment community: Lagos remains open for business and full of opportunity.
