In a strategic collaboration with the Office of the Vice President, Bank of Industry (BOI), Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI), and Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS), Jenifer Adighije, the Senior Special Assistant to the President in Innovation and Digital Economy, has successfully hosted a landmark event for the empowerment of women entrepreneurs. The event, supported by MTN Nigeria and the MTN Foundation, brought together a diverse group of emerging women entrepreneurs for inclusive discussions on pivotal topics focusing on enabling women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to build financial resilience and operational know-how, leveraging technology and cutting-edge management skills, guaranteed to propel productivity in the MSME sector to the next level. The initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for robust communications innovation and a digital economy. It underscores the administration’s commitment to fostering an environment where women entrepreneurs can thrive and contribute significantly to the nation’s economic growth.
