Distinguished for its depth, diversity and excellence, ART X Lagos has yet again cemented its position as West Africa’s biggest art fair. Opening with the Collectors’ Preview on Thursday, 4th November at The Federal Palace, Victoria Island, Lagos, its high-profile events have become “Must Attend” for avid collectors, captains of industry and VIPs. With the 2020 edition being online-only, art patrons were thrilled to gather again physically.
Guests enjoyed an exclusive first view of sensational modern and contemporary works, featuring numerous renowned and cutting-edge artists from Africa and its Diaspora.
The VIP Previews and Opening Ceremony took place the next day, where notable public figures, collectors, gallery owners, and connoisseurs were in attendance. The Founder and Director of ART X Lagos, Tokini Peterside, took to the stage to give an overview of what to expect.
Herbert Wigwe, Group Managing Director of Access Bank, Bolaji Balogun, CEO of Chapel Hill Denham and Eric Idiahi, Chairman of Tangerine also addressed guests.
ART X Lagos brings together 30 leading international galleries showcasing 120 artists from over 30 countries and continues with its online fair on ARTXLAGOS.COM till 21 November.
