The most anticipated wedding of the year between Fatiha of Yusuf Buhari, the son of President Muhammadu Buhari, and Zahra Bayero, the daughter of Nasiru Ado Bayero, the Emir of Bichi, took place in Kano State on Friday, 20th August.
The ceremony, which was officiated by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami, had in attendance the who-is-who in the Nigerian political and business circles as well as members of the diplomatic community.
Standing as the groom’s trustee was the president’s uncle, Mamman Daura, while Kano-based business mogul, Aminu Dantata, stood as the bride’s trustee.
Prior to the Big Day, President Buhari had dispatched a high-level delegation to Kano State on Thursday.
Also, to ensure a hitch-free event, The Emir of Bichi, father of the bride, had inaugurated a 145-man committee.
