Every year, Arise Fashion Week introduce the world to the latest and greatest style trends, and this year was no exception.
From pleats to sheer clothing, we have spotted some of the most fabulous new looks from the runway, and we can authoritatively tell you that it’s going to be an exciting year in fashion.
Here is what we are looking forward to wearing in the new fashion season.
Festive Fringes
Fringed clothing has come a long way from its association with 1920s dresses, Western-style leather jackets, or hippie-era suede vests. At Arise Fashion Week, designers took this look to a whole new level, incorporating the style into unique garments and accessories in unexpected proportions and colours. The shredded detail added movement, making any look a bit more festive. Its sudden revival is sure to shake up the fashion system next year.

Yes, to Co-ords.
The two-piece set is one of the hottest trends right now, and feelers from the runway suggest that it will be around for a very long time. We saw quite a few offerings using exciting fabrics, textures and styles.

Pleats Please.
As we saw from Yutee Rone’s collection, pleating isn’t just for the prim and proper looks, and it’s also not limited to skirts. We saw pleats in dresses, trousers and outerwear. It was nice to see accordion folds on garments in various breezy, move-with-you styles.

It’s all about Sheer.
Sheer clothing had its moment at the Arise Fashion Week Dubai Runway. Not surprising because it has long solidified its place as a trendy fashion look. Try something sheer this season and embrace a romantic look.

Go BIG or go home.
It’s time to support the notion that the bigger the jacket, the better. Pieces from Odio Mimonet and Lanre da Silva Ajayi gave us room to layer, and blazers found their power in pure volume.

Vacation-ready Beachwear
Some designers brought back a holiday mindset to the runways. We saw vibrant vacation-ready prints infused into matching sets from the likes of Lisa Folawiyo and Kenneth Ize.

Extreme Layering
This year’s layering game was daring. Models draped themselves in long capes, satin dresses, and jackets. Odio Mimonet sent her model down the runway in wide-leg pants paired with a dress and a standout jacket.
