Hello, hello, is anyone there?
I know, I know, it’s been a hot minute since we last spoke. Your favourite Gen-Zer (that’s me, in case you forgot) has been on a bit of a hiatus. But don’t worry; I wasn’t off on some digital detox retreat in Santorini. Instead, I’ve been busy plotting, planning, and prepping some serious Gen Z-ness for you all!
I’ve sure missed this little moment we have together, haven’t you? We’ve definitely had some good times. Remember when we looked into the behaviours of Gen Z’s in a work environment or when we deep-dived into 24 things I wish I had known before I turned 24? Good times! By the way, I turned 25 while I was away.
But enough reminiscing. We’re not here to live in the past. We’re here to shape the future, right? So, I’m thrilled to announce that your beloved column, “A-GEN Z with Ayo Lawal”, is making a highly anticipated comeback. This time, we’re turning the dial up to 11! This time, it’s about to be a party! My focus? The movers and shakers of our generation. The ones who are redefining norms, shattering stereotypes, and embracing the chaos that is our world today. The ones who are not just surviving but thriving amidst the madness.
Meeting Gen-Zers who are changing the world, one TikTok video, one sustainable clothing line, and one vegan recipe at a time. Introducing you to the young activists, innovators, creators, and disruptors—in short, Gen-Zers—who aren’t just riding the wave of change but are creating it. We’re going to delve into the heart of what it means to be Gen Z today. We’re going to explore the profound, the provocative, and the downright puzzling. Challenging the status quo and questioning the ‘whys’ and ‘hows’ of our generation—well, at least MY generation.
Sounds exciting, doesn’t it? But hold onto your bucket hats because there’s more. I really want YOU to be a part of this journey. Yes, you, my people. Who are the Gen Zers that inspire you?
